Hi readers,
The book we will be discussing today is Third year at malory tower by Enid Bligton. In this book Darrel, the main character, and her third form classmates at their private boarding school get up to all sorts of mischief.  This includes teasing Gwendoline; welcoming new classmates Zerelda, who looks about twenty; and playing a prank on their strict form teacher, Miss Peaters.  Also being welcomed is Wilhelmina (Otherwise known as Bill) who is absolutely mad about horses.

Although this book may make you think that boarding school is hte most wonderful thing in the world.  Its not.  Most people who go their don’t like it and if you heard the story from the perspective of Gwen, a spoilt child who hates it, it would sound a whole world different.

This book is a great classic and is suitable for 9+  It has some complicated words and old fashioned things.  So if you’re over nine and love reading – Go for it.

Sadie
